Graduate Orientation Thursday, August 30, 2012

Welcome to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Please join us on Thursday, August 30, 2012 for Graduate Orientation. Your experience at Rutgers-Camden begins with orientation – a program for newly admitted graduate students. You will meet faculty, staff and students, and learn about all the exciting opportunities available to you. Attending orientation is an important step in making the transition to life as a Rutgers graduate student. Location: Multipurpose Room at the Rutgers-Camden Campus Center

Registration & Reception

3:00 – 4:15 p.m.

Check-in, enjoy the wine & cheese reception, take a shuttle tour of the university and waterfront district, and visit the Information Fair. Please note that this portion of orientation is optional.

Welcome and Remarks

4:15 – 5:15 p.m.

  • Mary Beth Daisey, Dean of Students and Associate Chancellor for Student Affairs
  • Dr. Wendell Pritchett, Chancellor
  • Dr. Kriste Lindenmeyer, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences
  • Dr. Rakesh Sambharya, Associate Dean of the School of Business, Professor of Management and International Business

Dean Daisey Will Present an Overview of Administrative Resources

Meet, Eat & Greet 5:15 – 6:00 p.m.

Over a complimentary dinner talk with faculty, current and recently-graduated students from the MBA and Graduate School programs. Resident students may get photo I.D.’s taken at the Impact Booth.

Breakout Sessions

6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Meet faculty graduate directors and other newly admitted graduate students from your program of admission. The faculty graduate directors will discuss program requirements and expectations.
