Info for Accepted Students

Congratulations on your recent admission to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University-Camden! The information below will help you virtually navigate your way around Rutgers-Camden.

Accepting Admission
In order to register for your course(s) you must submit the Admission Acknowledgment Form (AAF), which is available here.

Deferral of Admission
Admitted students who want their applications deferred for one semester are required to pay a $30 fee. Deferrals of a year require a $60 fee.

RUID
Your RUID was emailed to you when you submitted your graduation application online. You will need this code in order to register for classes. If you do not have this code or have lost or forgotten the code you can obtain it here.

Net ID
Your Net ID (which is different than your RUID) will be the username and password you created to open your email account and to all of the online secure sites within Rutgers. To obtain your NET ID please visit Account Setup.

Registering for Classes
After the admissions office has received your acknowledgement form, you may select your (fall/spring) classes. The schedule of classes can be found here. To view detailed course descriptions please browse our Graduate School Catalog.

Once you have made your course selections please use our Registration System to register online. You will need your Rutgers Identification number (RUID) and PAC code to register. By default, your PAC code is your month and day of birth in MMDD format.

Please sign up for your classes as soon as possible, because classes can fill quickly. If you have any questions regarding holds, special permission registrations, and course selections, please contact your graduate director.

Financial Aid
To be considered for financial assistance, you must file the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA).  The federal school code for Rutgers University is 002629.  You may apply at fafsa.ed.gov.  Visit our Financial Aid Site for more information.

Tuition Bill
You will receive a postcard and email notification from our Office of Financial Services at the time that term bills are due. The postcard and email will contain further instructions on term bill payment.  If you have applied for financial aid your aid will show on your tuition bill. If you are to receive any tuition remission from your employer, please ensure that you have your paperwork together to be submitted with your bill when it is due.

Photo Identification Cards
The RUConnection ID card provides student access to libraries, computer labs, athletics and recreation center, meal plans, RU Express funds, student discounts, campus buildings, and other facilities.  ID Cards are available at the IMPACT booth located in the Campus Center lobby.  More information is available here.

Graduate Orientation
The Graduate School hosts an orientation every August to welcome new students.  An invitation will be emailed to you over the summer.  Some programs may also host individual orientation events.  Contact your graduate director for more details.
