Office Hours and Location
We are located in the Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office in Armitage Hall on the 3rd Floor.
Our normal hours are M-F 8am-4:30pm. We have extended office hours on Wednesday evenings until 6PM throughout the semester. If you have questions or need to drop off any forms, please stop in.

Student Writing Assistance Welcome
My name is Brock Warren and I’m your resident Graduate Writing Assistant. I’m currently a second year student in the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program and I’ve taught undergraduate English classes for Rutgers-Camden since my arrival. My educational background is in the areas of English, writing, philosophy and religion. More specifically, I completed a Master of Divinity degree program at Vanderbilt University in the areas of theology and ministry.
I am thrilled to offer you my service for your writing needs as we jump into a new academic year here at Rutgers-Camden. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding papers you’re constructing, whether thesis, dissertation, Capstone or general coursework. Students seeking assistance with writing and research-citation skills may make an appointment with Brock by filling out the form on the Graduate Writing Assistance website.

Graduate School Advisory Council Applications Open
The Graduate School is seeking students interested in sharing ideas and feedback about graduate student life and academics on campus. The council meets with the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School twice per semester and also assists with student events. We are looking for students from all programs and both new and returning students are eligible. Please complete the online application by Friday, September 18th to be considered.
Registration Deadlines and September Class Schedule
Monday, September 7th: No Classes (Labor Day Holiday)
Tuesday, September 8th: Follow a Monday Schedule
Wednesday, September 9th: Last day to Add or Drop a Class without a “W” grade.
Thursday, September 24th: No classes meet after 4:00pm due to the Papal visit
Friday, September 25th: No classes meet due to the Papal visit
Monday, September 28th: Classes resume at 12:00 noon.
Health Services Waiver (Excluding International Students)
Students registered as full-time students who have existing insurance are required to complete an on-line waiver showing proof of insurance each academic year. Students who do not show proof of health insurance by September 18, will be billed a health insurance premium of $762.50 for the Fall semester. If you have health insurance, please waive at www.universityhealthplans.com, prior to Friday, September 18, 2015. Students who do not complete the on-line waiver form through www.universityhealthplans.com, will be automatically enrolled in the university sponsored health insurance plan and will be responsible to pay the insurance.
Are you presenting at a conference in your field? The Graduate School offers competitive funding up to $500 to assist with travel costs and conference fees.

Career Center News and Events
Services include assistance with career decisions, resume / CV writing, interview coaching, job search assistance and PhD/professional school advising. Individual appointments can be scheduled by calling 856.225.6046 or stop by the Career Center in the lower level of the campus center.
