Graduate School House Reopens November 3

Who said you can’t go back home again? On Monday, November 3, the Graduate School team will be back at the Graduate School House, 211 N. 5th Street – just in time for the end-of-year festivities.

From October 13 through November 3, we’ve been based at 67 Penn Street while work began on the Cooper Street Gateway Project, a transformative effort that will create a welcoming corridor honoring the street’s history and opening new spaces for connection.

Beginning Monday, November 3, the Graduate School team will once again open our doors at 211 N. 5th Street. As the semester winds down, plan to stop by, see us, and celebrate the season together.

The Cooper Street Gateway Project is designed to unite thirteen historic properties along Cooper and Lawrence Streets into a cohesive, forward-looking hub. With new academic, cultural, and public-facing spaces—including event areas for health, the arts, and community well-being—it will transform how Rutgers–Camden connects with Camden. It is a cornerstone of the university’s 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, blending preservation with innovation. While we’ll miss our house for a few weeks, we’re eager to return in November—and even more excited for the future this project promises.
