A key component of academic writing is effectively paraphrasing content in lieu of an overabundance of short quotations and long quotes. Building Effective Paraphrasing Skills is a hands-on workshop designed to help students read, summarize and paraphrase scholarly articles and texts. Effective paraphrasing also aids in ensuring that a student doesn’t accidentally plagiarize.
THIS CLASS IS FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS. If you don’t know the first thing about paraphrasing, it’s ok, we all start somewhere. If you feel you want to brush up on your paraphrasing skills, this is for you too. If you are an expert, be sure to attend so that you can share tips and tricks for how you were able to become efficient at it.
