Keynote Speaker: FRANK TAFFY, JD Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development, Schrödinger, Inc

Frank has over 20 years of experience in life sciences corporate development and business operations. He received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of North Texas and his law degree from Syracuse University. He began his career as an intellectual property transactional attorney at Procter and Gamble. He cofounded Helocyte and Cellvation, both clinical-stage biopharmaceutical companies with which he remains a Board member, and worked at Forest Laboratories, Inc. (now AbbVie, Inc.) where he led the optimization and expansion of the company’s portfolio of marketed pharmaceutical products. Prior to joining Forest, Frank served as Director of Corporate Development at Life Technologies, Inc. where he led partnering and investment activities.

Following Frank’s keynote address, there will be lightning talks focusing on Innovation Ventures, including New Ventures, Commercialization Funding and I-Corps. The webinar will conclude with a panel discussion on effective partnerships with industry, where each panelist will share their journey, offer advice, and discuss the success of the Rutgers-Horizon Discovery partnership.
