Event Schedule:
3:00 – 4:00PM: Pre-Orientation Mixer at the Graduate School Building
4:00 – 4:30PM: Registration opens for Orientation at Campus Center
4:30 – 6:00PM: Spring New Student Orientation
6:00 – 6:30PM: Spring Orientation reception with snacks, beverages

Pre-Orientation Mixer:
Location: Graduate School Building

This mixer is an optional opportunity for you to meet other new students and talk with the Graduate School faculty. Light snacks will be provided and a short tour of campus will be given at the end of the mixer as we walk to the Campus Center for registration.
Registration for Orientation:

There will be a table set up as you enter the campus center where you can check-in for orientation. You will be given a nametag, your ID card (if submitted in time), as well as information sheets.
New Student Orientation: ONLY new, incoming graduate students

This orientation will provide you with all the resources you need to succeed at Rutgers-Camden and take advantage of what our campus has to offer. We are here to support you in your educational journey. This is a mandatory session for new students.
Spring Orientation Reception
Location: Campus Center, Multipurpose Room (MPR)

This reception is an opportunity for you to talk with other new students as well as Graduate School faculty. Snacks will be provided and you will have the opportunity to mingle and ask questions about graduate school or campus life.
General Details:
Registration:
Your Eventbrite registration is our best method of determining how to best accommodate you for this event. We will be checking for your registration, and, if you have not registered, we may not be able to provide you with all the resources you need to begin your orientation and semester. We will be checking for registration after the event as a matter of university protocol. Please be sure to register!
ID Cards:
If you are a new student, you can receive a student ID card by sending a photo to our online portal, located here: https://ipo.rutgers.edu/publicsafety/iam/online-photo-submission. Please note the guidelines for acceptable photos. You may receive your student ID at registration for orientation; alternatively, you may visit the IMPACT Booth during its hours of operation, found here: https://campuscenter.camden.rutgers.edu/hours-operation. Please try to upload your photo ASAP in order to have it ready for you in time for orientation.
Food:
We will have light snacks at our pre-orientation mixer at 3:00PM, and more filling snacks and fare after orientation, around 5:30PM. We will also have water and beverages available to you.
Transportation:
The campus is accessible by PATCO, New Jersey Transit, and more. If you are interested in exploring these options, please view this link: https://camden.rutgers.edu/visit/public-transportation.
Parking:
If you plan on driving to campus for our orientation day events, you may use the following link to register your car and park for free in several of our campus’s parking lots: https://rudots.nupark.com/v2/portal/eventregister/5a8aca00-b6b3-4827-82c8-6eb94f3b4138#/events/registration/. Please note that you must register your vehicle in advance of the event to take advantage of this free parking. Otherwise, you are free to use metered spaces, found around campus. Covid-19:
Masks are not required for indoor events. Attendants will not have to show proof of vaccination.
