See below for information on an event led by our Graduate Writing Assistant, Gaylene Gordon:
In this workshop, we change how we view academic writing. Specifically, we focus on what I call the personality of an academic paper. Have you ever found yourself lost in the weeds while researching your sources? This could be a consequence of a poorly written research question and/or thesis statement. Have you ever been confused about writing the abstract? You could be confused about which of the three most common structures for abstracts to choose. Perhaps those aren’t confusing for you, but you have questions about the other major sections. I cover every area included in a paper, from the research question to the use of an appendix.
If either of these workshops interests you, sign up through RaptorConnect.
As always, if you have further questions, I am available via email at gaylene.gordon@rutgers.edu. Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
