Mi Kyung Jasmine Je, President and Executive Director of the Asian Women’s Christian Association (AWCA) in Bergen County, embodies this blend of expertise and compassion. An International Academic Journey
Before joining Rutgers University-Camden, Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from the Presbyterian College and Theological Seminary in South Korea. Her educational experiences include studies at Sky Institute in Shanghai, Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and Bergen Community College in Hackensack, NJ.
Leadership Rooted in Community Impact
Starting her AWCA journey in 2008 as Program Director, Jasmine’s community-driven leadership elevated her to Executive Director by 2012 and now, President. Her tenure is marked by initiatives like the AWCA Social Welfare Radio Broadcast in 2018 and the AWCA Life YouTube Channel in 2020. During the pandemic, she spearheaded the ‘ANGEL Basket COVID-19 Relief Food Drive’ and secured $165K in grants to aid those in need.
