Safety and Security

Commitment to a
Safe & Secure Campus

Rutgers–Camden prioritizes providing a secure environment where everyone, including students, employees, and visitors, feels comfortable on and around our 40-acre campus. Our commitment to safety involves the collaboration of four different police and security departments, namely the RUPD, RU Public Safety, the Camden County Police, and the Delaware River Port Authority. Together, they work cohesively to maintain a safe and protected atmosphere for the entire university community.

SERVICES TO KEEP YOU SECURE

Safety & Security
through Action

At Rutgers-Camden, our steadfast dedication to security guarantees the safety and well-being of our university community. To achieve this objective, we employ a diverse range of methods and proactive strategies, including:

  1. Regular security patrols, which maintain a strong and visible presence, effectively deterring potential threats.
  2. Security personnel are stationed at the front desks of numerous buildings, providing an additional layer of protection for students and staff.
  3. Restricted access to specific areas, enhancing security measures throughout the campus.
  4. Comprehensive CCTV coverage spanning the entire campus, reinforcing surveillance and monitoring capabilities.

Collectively, these measures work in concert to establish a secure and safeguarded environment, instilling peace of mind for all members of the Rutgers-Camden community.
