Dr. Michelle Meloy, Associate Dean of the Graduate School-Camden
Michelle Meloy, Ph.D., has been leading the Graduate School-Camden as its Associate Dean since 2019. A member of the Rutgers-Camden faculty since 2002, Dr. Meloy was promoted to the position of professor of criminal justice in 2015. From 2012 until 2019, she served as the director of the graduate program in Criminal Justice. Dr. Meloy’s research interests encompass gender and crime, victimization, high-risk communities, and criminal justice policy.
As the Associate Dean of Rutgers Graduate School-Camden, Dr. Meloy:
- Manages all aspects related to the Graduate School, including staff and students.
- Coordinates external reviews and the reaccreditation of all Faculty of Arts and Sciences departments and programs.
- Plays a key role in the development of special programs associated with the Graduate School and evaluates proposals for new graduate programs and certificates.
- Provides oversight for pertinent aspects of research centers and institutes.
Erick E. Watt-Udogu, Assistant Dean
Assistant Dean Watt-Udogu oversees school recruitment, admissions, and retention, while managing marketing, communications, and branding. He’s received awards for leadership, business process management, and website design and has spoken at conferences on data-driven decision-making and technology integration.
Assistant Dean Askew, a Rutgers-Camden alumna with graduate and undergraduate degrees from the university, leads scholarship, fellowship, and assistantship programs. Her deep institutional understanding and commitment to student success make her a pivotal figure in shaping the Graduate School-Camden’s future.
Christian Kubik Cedeño,
Assistant Dean Kubik Cedeño handles major event planning, including New Student Orientation, Research Week, and Commencement ceremonies. He’s pivotal in operations administration, managing academic forms, and compiling annual reports. Profiles & Spotlights
Sarah Johnson, STEM Program Coordinator
Sarah Johnson, the STEM Program Coordinator, balances responsibilities at the Graduate School and Joint Health Sciences Building. Her wealth of knowledge and experience contributes to effective communication, operations management, and active involvement in STEM program recruitment and admissions. Kayla Allende, Administrative Assistant
Kayla Allende is the Administrative Assistant for the Graduate School-Camden, providing support to both the students and the school’s goals. By fostering strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff, Kayla creates a welcoming and inclusive environment that facilitates optimal learning experiences.
Contributions from the members of our student support team are foundational to the success of the Graduate School community. With their dedication and commitment, they play a vital role in enhancing the student experience.
