The Judgment of Yoyo Gold Earns Best Teen & YA Award
We are proud to celebrate Creative Writing MFA alum Isaac Blum for the inclusion of his novel, The Judgment of Yoyo Gold, on Kirkus Reviews’ Best Teen & YA Fiction of 2024 list.
Released on October 15, 2024, the novel follows Yocheved “Yoyo” Gold, a thoughtful Orthodox Jewish teen, as she navigates family responsibilities, friendship, and self-discovery. Through a series of transformative events, including volunteering with a Jewish Hunger Relief organization and forming new connections, Yoyo begins to question and explore her role within her community and her family.
