Homecoming ’25: Building the Scarlet Legacy
“Feeling the energy of generations coming together — alumni, students, and families — all united by the same pride and spirit.” Two years after graduating with her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), Kaila Crozier returned to campus not just to enjoy the festivities, but to don a familiar suit. By stepping back into the Scarlet Raptor costume, she brought joy to the crowd and reminded everyone of what makes Rutgers–Camden such a special community.
“It reminded me that being a Raptor isn’t just about the present moment; it’s about being part of a legacy that continues to grow.” For Kaila, Homecoming was another chapter in the way she’s chosen to keep giving back. Whether welcoming new MAT cohorts, serving on the Camden Centennial Celebration Committee’s Sports & Athletics Subcommittee, or judging the Research Week competition, she continues to show that Rutgers–Camden pride is lived every day.
Kaila’s involvement didn’t end at graduation. She now serves on the Camden Centennial Celebration Committee’s Sports & Athletics Subcommittee and continues to shape lives as an educator, specializing in secondary English and special education. Her return to the Raptor suit shows that Scarlet pride is more than tradition — it’s a living legacy carried forward by alumni like her.
