Rediscovering My Passion for Criminal Justice

My decision to pursue graduate studies in criminal justice was prompted by the global challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. This period made me reassess my career choices, ultimately steering me toward my original passion for criminal justice. Before my graduate studies, I was a small business owner, focusing on providing services to enlisted, retired, and veteran military individuals. It was during this time that a conversation with Dr. Harry Rhea, a mentor and educator, crystallized my decision to pursue studies at Rutgers-Camden.

For me, this institution was more than just a place of education; it was a home filled with lasting friendships and unwavering support. The strong sense of belonging, the mentorship provided by professors, and the camaraderie.
