Addressing Community Care Needs for Older Adults
Presenting research on “Unmet Community Care Needs and the Well-Being of Older Adults in China,” Shibin Yan, an alum of the Public Affairs/Community Development PhD program, joined leading scholars at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) annual conference in Seattle, WA.
Reflecting on the experience, Yan shared, “It was such a rewarding experience to connect with scholars from around the world, exchange ideas, and learn about the latest trends in gerontology.” The event served as a critical forum for addressing key issues in aging and fostering international collaboration in the field.
Yan’s research continues to shed light on the challenges faced by older adults, shaping discussions that influence both policy and practice. He is eager to bring fresh insights to the next GSA conference in Boston.
