These final tasks, which include submitting crucial paperwork and ensuring that all requirements are met, are vital to ensuring your graduation goes off without a hitch. By following the outlined deadlines and guidelines, you’re not only ensuring your eligibility for graduation but also contributing to the overall success of the ceremony. Your dedication to this process reflects the same determination that has brought you to this point, and it’s a testament to your commitment to excellence.
Each year, we celebrate our graduates of all the past year’s cycle in one Commencement: the Rutgers-Camden and Graduate School-Camden Commencement ceremony, to be held in May. During this ceremony, only students from the Graduate School-Camden will have their names read, and leaders from central administration will speak on behalf of your triumphs. Please note: if you graduate as part of the October or January cycles of the year prior, you will only have this one Commencement—students do not walk at other points of the year.

5. Upload your approved dissertation.
Your final approved dissertation must be uploaded to the Rutgers ETD site by the appropriate deadline. Be sure to follow all style guidelines outlined in the Dissertation Style Guide. Include a copy of the unsigned title page with the dissertation as part of the electronic submission.
A graduate assistant will collaborate with you to refine the formatting, as these will be published in Rutgers’ ProQuest repository. If you prefer to keep your work private, please inform us, and we can place a permanent embargo on it.
Failure to comply with the style guide may delay and/or prohibit your certification for graduation.
