The Office of Military & Veterans Affairs is happy to announce that with the collaboration with the IDEA Innovation Grant, we are able to host the Second Annual OMVA Speaker Series: The Stories of World War II.

The OMVA Speaker Series will be utilized to educate students about military and historic experiences/stories that will not be found in a textbook, grabbing the eye and ears of students across the campus. This series of speakers will also create an open environment for military students to feel heard and understood. This series will contribute to their success as they reintegrate into academic and civilian society as well as to enhance the level of support as a military friendly campus.  We are thrilled to be able to offer such an amazing opportunity for staff, faculty, students, and our Rutgers community.

March’s featured veteran is Jacob “Jake” Ruser, Army Veteran from World War II. Jake was drafted 1943, and landed in Normandy, France on D-Day – June 6th, 1944. Jake served through and in Battle of the Bulge.

Lunch will be provided along with an unforgettable experience.
